The Yallambee Classic

Held at the Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide, the Yallambee Classic is a Group 2 thoroughbred horse race, and takes place in March every year.

The Yallambee Classic is an open set-weight event for three-year-olds and offers just over $200,000 in prize money to its competitors. The 1,200 metre race takes place on the feature day of the South Australia autumn horse racing season – the Adelaide Cup Day. While it is not the headlining event, it is a feature race which takes place alongside the Adelaide Cup (3200m), the R N Irwin Stakes (1100m) and the Auraria Stakes (1800m).
